Pale green boards with publisher's motif to the upper board in dark blue and green and black titles to the spine. The ends are a little bruised and there is some marginal knocking to the corners. Endpapers are decorated and there is an engraving as the frontispiece. Illustrator is Federico Castellon. Supervising editor is Enid Lamonte Meadowcroft. Many other engravings in the text. No dust wrapper but attractive binding and clean unmarked text block. Audubon was an American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter. His combined interests in art and ornithology turned into a plan to make a complete pictorial record of all the bird species of North America.
